Governmental Decree No. 385 validating the Strategy for development of halal industry.

This Governmental Decree validates national policy in the sphere of promotion of halal industry and, in particular halal food processing industry, attributing ecological and food quality requirements to halal foodstuffs, excluding use of GMO. The scope of Strategy shall be to meet the demand of population in safe and ecofriendly halal foodstuffs. The Strategy shall be based upon the following principles: (a) application of international, regional and national standards applicable to halal products; and (b) compliance of halal products with technical regulation and requirements.
