Governmental Decree No. 421 validating the Regulation on the procedure for state registration, inventory and monitoring of wild fauna species.

This Governmental Decree establishes the procedure for state registration, inventory and monitoring of wild fauna species, specifying the list of species subject to state registration and monitoring. It shall be applicable to natural and legal persons performing registration, inventory and monitoring. Basic principles of registration, inventory and monitoring shall be as follows: (a) unified management of registration, inventory and monitoring; (b) the expansion of the species/subspecies composition of wild fauna species covered by the registration, inventory and monitoring; (c) unity of the methods of collection, processing, synthesis, systematization, storage, use and supply of information; and (d) ensuring the most reliable and continuous replenishment and updating of registration, inventory and monitoring information. State registration, inventory and monitoring shall be applicable to species/subspecies of wild fauna permanently or temporarily living in natural conditions on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, grouped as follows: (a) wild fauna species subject to hunting and used for other purposes; (b) wild fauna species listed in the Red Book of the Kyrgyz Republic; (c) fish and other aquatic biological resources (ichthyofauna) used for commercial, recreational and other fishing purposes; (d) insects - forest pests and insects useful for forests; (e) insects - pests of plants (except insects - forest pests) and insects useful for crops; and (f) wild fauna species - carriers of particularly dangerous infectious diseases within their natural focal areas.
