Governmental Decree No. 691 validating the Regulation on the Rules for sanitary protection of the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Comprehensive Plan of anti-epidemic measures for sanitary protection of the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic against the import/ introduction and spread of quarantine and particularly dangerous infectious diseases that pose a danger to public healthcare system and public health for 2018-2022.

The Rules for the Sanitary Protection of the Territory of the Kyrgyz Republic establish the basic requirements for organizational, sanitary and epidemiological measures for the sanitary protection of the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic against import/introduction and spread of quarantine and other infectious diseases that pose a danger to public healthcare system and public health. These Rules shall be mandatory for compliance by all state bodies and enterprises, irrespective of forms of ownership, and officials. In case of a threat of the spread of diseases in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic or a foreign state, the passage across the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic on the threatened sites is temporarily limited, terminated or established quarantine for people, luggage, goods, animals, cargo, vehicles by decision of the National Emergency Antiepidemic and Antiepizootic Commission under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. Transport means in areas at risk must pass disinfection, disinfestation and deratization. Special measures shall be undertaken for the prevention of introduction and spreading of diseases transmitted by mosquitoes (insects).
