Governmental Resolution No.554 of 1996 on concept of development of food and processing industry in the Kyrghyz Republic.

The Government, in order to use more effectively existing equipment of food and processing industry, to attract labour resources, to use local resources, to use financial and credit resources more effectively, to replace import with local products, decrees: 1. To approve proposed Concept of development food and processing industry in the Kyrgyz Republic. Food and processing industry is one of the branches of the national economy. Under conditions of the ongoing reforms new approaches are needed for production and management activities. Goal of the Concept is to develop organizational, economic and technical arrangements. Concept gives the analysis of production and financial activities of food and processing industry for each branch for the forthcoming years. The document consists of 5 Sections. Section 1 gives the review of the current situation. Section 2 regards constraints. Section 3 gives analysis of advantages, possibilities and risk of branches development (APRD). Section 4 determines strategy for development of food and processing industry in 1996-1998 up to 2005. Section 5 lays down the final provisions.
