Abstract
This Law establishes a comprehensive legal framework aimed at safeguarding the health and epidemiological well-being of the population within the broader context of constitutional rights and international law. Its primary objectives include health promotion, disease prevention, ensuring access to public health services, and developing public health organizations. This Law promotes healthy nutrition, which ensures human growth, development, and vital functions, promoting health, disease prevention, and the prevention of premature mortality. It also establishes mandatory food iodization (fortification) is the process of enriching foods with iodine for the mass prevention of iodine deficiency diseases and prohibits the production, circulation, and sale of food products, food raw materials, and goods that do not meet the requirements of sanitary and epidemiological norms and rules and technical regulations. The provision of food service by individuals and legal entities, regardless of ownership, must be safe for human health and comply with the national technical regulations and regulatory legal acts. When providing food in preschools and other educational institutions, medical and preventive care facilities, health facilities, and social welfare organizations, adherence to scientifically based, recommended physiological norms for human nutrition is mandatory. Drinking water must be safe and comply with the national technical regulations and regulatory legal acts.
