Abstract
This Law safeguards the basic guidelines of state policy and also legal, economic and social guarantees in the sphere of traditional knowledge, including use of genetic resources, and is aimed at further sustainable development of the country. Traditional knowledge shall be intended knowledge, means and methods transferred from generation to generation. It shall be applicable to genetic resources of wild fauna and wild flora. State regulation in the sphere of traditional knowledge shall include: (a) protection against unlawful patents of intellectual property; (b) fair distribution of profits originating from use of traditional knowledge; (c) setting up Special Fund of traditional knowledge; and (d) research. Traditional knowledge shall be subject to legal protection by the state.
