Abstract
This Law establishes the legal framework for ensuring traceability and uniformity of measurements in the Kyrgyz Republic and is aimed at achieving objective, reliable and comparable measurement results, at protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, individual entrepreneurs, legal entities and the state from the consequences of unreliable measurement results. Packaged goods shall be intended goods in packages that are packaged and sealed in the absence of the consumer, while the contents of the package cannot be changed without opening or deforming it, and the weight, volume, length, area or other quantities indicating the amount of goods contained in the package are indicated on packaging. The state system for ensuring the uniformity of measurements represents a set of rules for carrying out work to ensure the uniformity of measurements, its participants and the rules for the functioning of the system for ensuring the uniformity of measurements as a whole. The scope of state regulation extends to measurements that are performed during: (a) carrying out activities in the field of veterinary medicine; (b) carrying out activities in the field of environmental protection; and (c) carrying out trade transactions and mutual settlements between the manufacturer (seller) and the consumer (buyer).
