Ministerial Decree No. 107 validating the Regulation on the State Agency on Geology and Mineral Resources.

This Ministerial Decree designates the State Agency on Geology and Mineral Resources as the state institution for subsoil management, and charges it with: (a) complex exploration of subsoil; (b) state regulation; (c) state supervision over rational management of mineral resources; and (d) subsoil protection. To this end, the Agency shall: (a) perform geological surveys; (b) assess mineral deposits; (c) evaluate geological exploration projects; (d) validate the list of common minerals; (e) manage state geological information on subsoil; (f) register mineral deposits; and (g) license prospecting, exploration and mining.
