Ministerial Decree No. 140 validating the Regulation on Fisheries Department under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture.

This Ministerial Decree validates the Regulation on Fisheries Department under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture that shall be authorized state fishery institution performing the functions of fishery management, exploration and monitoring of fish stocks, stock enhancement and reproduction, and organization of inland fisheries either in natural or in artificial fishing waterbodies. The Department shall also carry out the function of fishing inspection and shall be responsible for organization of artisanal and sport fishing, registration of fishing gear and issuance of fishing licences, fishing authorization and permits.
