Ministerial Decree No. 319 validating the Regulation on Department of state sanitary and epidemiological supervision.

This Ministerial Decree sets up Department of state sanitary and epidemiological supervision under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Public Health carrying out the following functions: (a) coordination of sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population; (b) study and assessment of unfavourable factors upon human health; (c) priority directions in scientific research activity related to ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population. The Department shall carry out the following activities: (a) implementation of state policy in the sphere of public health; (b) organization of preventive and antiepidemic arrangements; (c) information of the population on issues of public health; and (d) ensuring radiation safety of the population.
