Ministerial Decree No. 335 validating the Regulation on forest monitoring.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of carrying out forest monitoring classified as follows: (a) forest monitoring; (b) forest pathology monitoring; (c) forest fire monitoring; (d) forest organization monitoring; and (e) forest outlook. Forest monitoring includes monitoring of state forest fund, protected areas, municipal and private forests. Forest monitoring shall be based on data obtained from national forest inventory, forest registration, forest management projects etc. Forest monitoring shall be carried out at national and local levels. Forest monitoring shall include the following four mandatory gradual stages: (a) observation (surveillance); (b) analysis and evaluation of the situation; (c) outlook of the state of forests; and (d) decision-making.
