Ministerial Decree No. 417 setting up open joint-stock company “Kyrgyz agro-industrial corporation”.

The Premier decrees that the main purpose of the established “Kyrgyz agro-industrial corporation” shall be to ensure stable functioning of food market in the interests of producers of agricultural commodities and meeting demand of the population for food. “Kyrgyz agro-industrial corporation” shall carry out the following functions: (a) food interventions; (b) support of the producers of agricultural commodities and advance payments to the producers; (c) extension of area under crops; (d) promotion of consolidation of peasant farms and creation of agricultural cooperatives; and (e) import and export operations on food market.
