Ministerial Decree No. 569 validating the Regulation on priorities for conservation of wetlands.

This Ministerial Decree validates Priority arrangements for conservation of wetlands for the period to 2023 and immediate Action Plan for realization of priority arrangements related to conservation of wetlands for the period of 2013-2017. The scope of priorities shall be conservation of wetlands of international importance and increase of wild waterfowl on the national territory. The Government sets forth the following priorities: (a) research and monitoring of wetlands;(b) improvement of legislative, institutional and economic basis for conservation of wetlands; (c) increase and extension of protected areas; (d) conservation and restoration of highland ecosystems; (e) regulation of management of highland pastures and reduction of negative environmental impact thereof; and (f) spreading and dissemination of information related to wetlands of international significance.
