Ministerial Decree No. 600 validating the Regulation on Potable Water Supply and Sewerage Department attached to the Government.

This Ministerial Decree establishes that Potable Water Supply and Sewerage Department shall be governmental body responsible for centralized potable water supply and sewerage of inhabited areas with a view of sustainable provision of inhabited areas with potable water and discharge of effluent waste water. The Department shall carry out the following functions: (a) control and supervision over protection of rights of natural and legal persons - consumers of potable water; (b) monitoring of centralized sources of potable water supply; and (c) maintenance, technical servicing and operation of potable water supply and sewerage systems.
