Ministerial Decree No. 732 validating the National Strategy for conservation of snow leopard for the period of 2013-2023.

This Ministerial Decree establishes that the scope of the National Strategy for conservation of snow leopard for the period of 2013-2023 shall be in accordance with the implementation of international treaties, such as the Convention on Biological Diversity and CITES. Basic tasks of the Strategy shall be as follows: (a) reduction of poaching of snow leopard and his prey (hoofed animals); (b) regulation of highland pastures of wild hoofed animals; (c) improvement of legislative, institutional and economic basis for conservation of snow leopard and biological diversity; (d) spreading of information related to snow leopard; (e) promotion of programs for research and monitoring of snow leopard; (f) extension of network of protected areas; and (g) adequate protection of snow leopard during mating and migratory periods.
