The National Action Plan on AMR for 2022-2025 of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The scope of this The National Action Plan on AMR for 2022-2025 of the Kyrgyz Republic shall be to improve measure aimed at preventing formation and limitation of the spread of resistance to antimicrobial drugs in Kyrgyz Republic. The objectives of the National Action Plan shall be set forth as follows: (a) raise awareness of the population of the Kyrgyz Republic about the problem of resistance to antimicrobial drugs and rational application of antimicrobial drugs in public health care, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine and crop production; (b) raise the level of training of medical, veterinary workers and livestock breeders on the rational use of antimicrobial drugs in clinical practice of resistance to antimicrobial drugs; (c) improve the system of epidemiological surveillance of antimicrobial drugs consumption and the spread of antimicrobial drugs resistance in health systems and veterinary medicine of the Kyrgyz Republic; (d) improve the effectiveness of the infection control system in healthcare organizations and among the population of the Kyrgyz Republic; (e) optimize the use of antimicrobial drugs and provide access to the population of the Kyrgyz Republic to high-quality, effective and safe antimicrobial drugs; and (f) ensure national coordination of activities, aimed at curbing resistance to antimicrobial drugs. Planning and execution of work is carried out on the basis of annual plans in accordance with the objectives of this National Action Plan. In order to fulfill the tasks of the interdepartmental program "Containment antimicrobial resistance in the Kyrgyz Republic it provides for the involvement of state bodies, ministries and departments, as well as public and non-governmental organizations. The organization of research and development is carried out on the basis of agreements (contracts) and obtaining grants from various international, governmental and non-governmental organizations. The main executors of the National Action Plan implementation shall be: Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic. The main strategic directions of the National Action Plan implementation are: raise awareness of the population of the Kyrgyz Republic about the problem of resistance to antimicrobial drugs and the rational use of antimicrobial drugs. In order to reach the strategic objectives shall be performed the following arrangements: (a) conducting targeted information campaigns for various groups of residents on issues of resistance to antimicrobial drugs and rational use of antimicrobial drugs for their adequate replacement, as well as the inadmissibility of treating people and animals on their own without a prescription from a doctor and veterinarian respectively; (b) carrying out activities to form commitment to immunoprophylaxis, healthy personal hygiene for the population of the Kyrgyz Republic; (c) carrying out activities aimed at shaping the population s behavior for the responsible use of antimicrobial drugs; and (d) carrying out activities aimed at shaping the population s responsible use of antimicrobial drugs in the livestock sector and crop production.
