Ordinance No. 1 of the State Environmental Protection and Forestry Agency validating the Regulation of State Forest Service and Forest Fire Safety Regulation.

Regulation of State Forest Service is authorized state institution in the field of environmental protection and forest management, ensuring protection of forests pertaining to state forest fund, protected areas through State Forest Service. State Forest Service shall perform the following tasks: (a) protection of forests; (b) control over state, management, protection, reproduction of forests and organization of forest fund management; and (c) ensuring protection of unused natural resources (minerals etc.) located on the territory of state forest fund. State Forest Service shall carry out the following measures: (a) to prevent and suppress offences; (b) to undertake legal actions related to forest offences; (c) to administrate the law and keep order on the territory of forest fund; (d) to issue instructions for elimination of revealed violations; and (e) to make decisions on restriction or suspension of business activity. Forest Fire Safety Regulation sets the requirements for firefighting measures and fire safety in forests in the process of protection, reproduction and management thereof that are mandatory for all legal entities and natural persons. The basic forms and methods of ensuring fire safety in forests shall be: (a) forest fire prevention; and (b) in-process inspection.
