Regulation on conformity assessment of perennial leguminous forage grass seeds in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The purpose of this Regulation is to provide a regulatory framework for production of all categories of seeds, promotion of the use of high-quality varietal seeds of perennial leguminous forage grass seeds, used in agriculture. Seeds of varieties and hybrids of varieties and hybrids shall be subject to evaluation for compliance with the requirements of this Regulation. The documents confirming the quality and safety of the seeds for their intended use are the International Orange Certificate, Seed Conditionality Certificate, Certificate of Seed Conditionality and Certificate of Conformity. Seeds and planting material of varieties that have passed three-year testing and included in the State Register of varieties and hybrids perennial leguminous forage grass seeds varieties and hybrids authorized for use in the Kyrgyz Republic shall be subject to mandatory conformity assessment. The document confirming the quality of seeds for their intended use shall be certificate of seed conditionality. Inspection is carried out to determine varietal traits and to determine the suitability of crops for seed purposes. Traits, determining varietal identity are the traits which are accepted as the traits of a variety at the time of its registration. Seed lot is a certain number of seeds, homogeneous in origin, varietal and sowing qualities, for which International Orange Certificate or Certificate of Seed Conditionality are issued. Heterogeneity of seeds in a lot is not allowed. Selected seed samples should be packaged in such a way that during transportation thereof they are not damaged. Seed moisture samples are packaged in moisture-proof containers. A label with complete and accurate information about sed quality is placed on or attached to the package.
