Resolution No. 288 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on seed farms.

This Regulation establishes the procedure for obtaining the status of seed farm by seed growing agricultural enterprises. Seed farm is obliged to ensure compliance with the following requirements: (a) to be located in natural and climatic conditions acceptable for the production of high-quality seed material; (b) have a volume of arable land in accordance with the requirements according to which the seed farm must have at its disposal from a minimum of 3 hectares to a maximum of 200 hectares; (c) have a material and technical base (warehouse, grain storage, agricultural and seed cleaning equipment); and (c) have a mandatory agronomist-seed grower on staff. The seed farm must own or temporarily use on a long-term basis the aforesaid arable land.
