Abstract
This Agreement provides a legal framework for freedom of navigation in the Mekong river system and thereby implements Article 9 of the Agreement on the Cooperation for the Sustainable Development of the Mekong River Basin (MRC Agreement). The Agreement creates a committee and also provides with respect to criminal jurisdiction and dispute settlement.
