Abstract
The purpose of this Joint Regulation (Joint Prakas) is to manage and control the production, import, export and trade of veterinary drugs in order to eliminate illegal business operations of veterinary drugs, ensuring their quality and protecting the interests of consumers, producers and traders.
The Joint Regulation consists of 11 Chapters divided into 53 articles: General provisions (1); Formalities and Conditions in opening establishments for the production of veterinary drugs (2); Formalities and Conditions in opening, closing or changing establishments of import-export of veterinary drugs (3); Formalities and Conditions in opening, closing or changing establishments of sale of veterinary drugs (4); Formalities and Conditions of registration of visa or register of veterinary drugs (5); Import-export of veterinary drugs (6); Advertisement of veterinary drugs (7); Obligation of business persons (8); Competence of management (9); Penal provisions (10); and Final provisions (11).
Any person who intends to carry out business in relation to production, import, export, distribution or sale of veterinary drugs shall be required to have a permit for business operation, visa or registration of business, and an authorization for import from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The Ministry shall manage, inspect and instruct the business operations of veterinary drugs of all types in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
