Abstract
This Order shall replace a previous Order issued by the Royal Government to ban the import of meat and live pigs from foreign countries as the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery has been recognized to be capable of inspecting sanitary and phyto-sanitary conditions for agricultural products.
The Order determines that the importation of meat and live pigs as well as agricultural products is allowed and shall be implemented in accordance with procedures established by law or relevant standard letters in force.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries must strengthen the management and inspection of all agricultural products imported, particularly the inspection of sanitary and phyto-sanitary conditions of agricultural products. Competent ministries-institutions must cooperate with the Ministry in properly inspecting and implementing the sanitary and phyto-sanitary rules in accordance with technical requirements on all agricultural products imported from foreign countries.
