Prakas No. 856 (MEF) on creation of Project Steering Committee of the Eastern Rural Irrigation System Development of Cambodia.

This Regulation (Prakas) provides for the establishment of a Project Steering Committee under IMF Cooperation Financing aimed at contributing to the effort of the Royal Government in reducing poverty through the development of irrigation systems in order to promote agricultural productivity and increase opportunities for cultivation/plantation in the eastern areas of Cambodia.
The Committee shall hold meetings twice a year and its duties shall include: to coordinate activities of the eastern rural irrigation system development project of Cambodia; to monitor and promote the implementation of the strategic plan for the irrigation system development project of Cambodia; to provide instructional policy and other decisions in relation to this project's implementation; and to solve or give recommendations for settling issues arising during the project's implementation.
