Prakas No.111 of 2008 on Authorization to Carry out Customs Formalities Outside Customs Offices

This Prakas provides that the Director of Customs may consider and approve requests from importers or exporters, in case of necessity, to carry out customs formalities outside the customs offices under the following circumstances: (a) for hazardous, explosive or inflammable goods which require special conditions for handling, packaging, transportation and storage, (b) for the export of agricultural products, forest products or by-products, rubber of all kinds and fish products that are to be stored in specific containers, and (c) for export cargo shipped in all types fo containers by qualified investment firms.
