Abstract
These Rules are enacted to guide for establishing and developing private forests in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Rules consist of 4 Chapters: General Provisions; Establishment and Registration of Private Forests; Harvesting and Cultivating Private Forest Business; Interim Provisions; Supplementary Provisions.
The Forestry Administration shall design and implement outreach programs on private forests to raise public awareness about the importance of participating in the establishment of private forests and the provision of technical skills training services. Private forest owners who have registered their private forests in accordance with these Rules have the right to harvest the timber and timber products that originate from their private forests without any regulatory barriers or payment of fees, except for the export of products of private forest. In order to export private forest products, an export license issued by the Ministry of Commerce must be obtained.
