Abstract
This Act provides for the conditions of the post-clearance audit by the Customs and the Excise Department, the objective of this audit, and the persons targeted by the audit. A post-clearance audit by Customs and Excise Department is an audit, investigation, inspection or control carried out in a systematic manner by competent customs officers to verify the accuracy and authenticity of customs declarations through the examination of relevant documents, books, records, and other business information systems.
