Abstract
This Sub-Decree is issued by the Royal Government of Cambodia to regulate the production, trade, packaging, and use of iodized salt nationwide. Its objective is to eliminate iodine deficiency disorders in humans and animals by ensuring all edible salt, domestic or imported, is iodized and meets established safety and quality standards.
The Sub-Decree requires producers and traders to obtain licenses, follow packaging rules, and cooperate with inspections. Violations—such as producing or selling non-iodized or substandard salt—carry fines, confiscation, or suspension of business licenses, ensuring compliance and public health protection.
