Abstract
This Sub-Decree determines a taxon of inland and marine fisheries and fish products that are taken from endangered fishery resources in the Kingdom of Cambodia for sustainable protection, management and conservation in compliance with the law on fisheries. Endangered fishery taxa are classified into three groups: 1. Critically Endangered (CR) taxon of fisheries in the wild when the stock is facing an extremely high risk of extinction; 2. Endangered (EN) taxon of fisheries in the wild is endangered when there is evidence showing clearly that this type of fisheries is facing a high risk of extinction; 3. Vulnerable (VU) taxon is of fisheries in the wild is vulnerable when it is easily facing a high risk of extinction in the medium-term future. Classification of a fishery taxon is attached in Appendix of this Sub-Decree. Amendment and addition of a potential endangered fishery taxon in the future will be defined by Sub-Decree. A measure to protect endangered fishery product will be defined by a Proclamation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
