Abstract
The aim of this Sub-Decree is to prevent the introduction of dangerous pests into the territory and the spread of pests from one part of the territory to another within the country or to other countries by any means of transportation in order to protect agricultural production and biodiversity.
It also aims to conduct phytosanitary inspection and treatment on means of transport and plant quarantine materials in storage points, factories and agricultural production areas. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will nominate Phytosanitary and Animal-sanitary Officers to implement the provisions of this Sub-Decree.
The Sub-Decree further provides for: procedures and requirements for the transportation, import, export and transit of plant quarantine materials; phytosanitary inspection formalities; penalties; etc.
