Abstract
This Ordinance concerns straying and trespassing animals, and provides measures for their impounding and disposal. According to the Ordinance the definition of animal includes: any fowl, turkey, peafowl, guinea-bird, duck or goose, horse, mule, donkey, pig, goat or sheep, dog, monkey and any animal of the bovine species. The Ordinance prescribes: measures for straying and trespassing animals, including: capture and shooting; notices to owner of impounded animals; duties of pound keeper; measures concerning animal suffering from disease; appointment of animal wardens; powers of the competent authority; damages to property done by animals; offences; identification number for cattle.
