Decree of the central People's Committee establishing the Economic Zone of the D.P.R. of Korea.

This Decree establishes an economic zone of the People’s Republic of Korea of 200 nautical miles measured from the baselines of the territorial sea , or the median line of waters where waters cannot be delimited at 200 nautical miles. The Republic shall exercise sovereignty over all living and non-living resources in the zone. No foreign vessel shall engage in fishing in the zone without prior approval by the Competent Authorities of the People’s Republic of Korea and all vessels shall strictly observe fishing and maritime rules in force
