Abstract
With this Act the Republic of Korea establishes an exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and fixes the breadth of the EEZ at two hundred nautical miles outwards from the baseline.
The Act sets out rights of Korea in the EEZ and defines rights and duties of foreign States in the zone. The Republic of Korea shall not exercise its rights in the area beyond the median line between Korea and a neighbouring State if no agreement with the State concerned, indicating the contrary, has been reached.

Entry into force notes
