Abstract
This Act aims to contribute to the improvement of productivity and the stabilization of business management in agriculture and fisheries by preventing agricultural and fisheries produce from being damaged by disasters and by preparing countermeasures against the aftermath of such disasters. The Act consists of 11 Articles.
The State and local government shall grant a full or partial subsidy for expenses incurred in carrying out countermeasures against disaster and shall render assistance to farmers and fishers who suffer from a disaster.
The Act provides for the establishment of the Committee for Deliberation on Countermeasures against Agricultural and Fisheries Disasters.
The Act further provides for: emergency measures; advance payments of restoration funds; penalties; etc.
