Act on Safety Management of Household Chemical Products and Biocides (Act No. 15511 of 2018).

This Act aims to protect the health and environment of the people and contribute to public safety by regulating matters related to the risk assessment of household chemical products, approval of biocidal substances and biocidal products, standards for biocidal products, and relief for damage caused by biocidal products.
The Act consists of 7 Chapters: General provisions; Management of household chemical products; Safety Management of Biocides; Safety management of biocides; Establishing a foundation for safety management of household chemical products and biocides; Miscellaneous provisions; Penalties.
The Minister of Environment shall develop a comprehensive plan on the management of household chemical products and biocides every five years (art.4). A Household Chemical Products and Biocides Management Committee shall be established to oversee regulatory decisions and product approvals (art.6).
