Agricultural Community Development Promotion Act.

The purpose of this Act is to contribute to promoting the advancement of agricultural areas, and the development of the State, by providing matters concerning such research and development, and distribution of science and technology, guidance to agricultural communities, education and training, and international cooperation as are related to agriculture, farmers, and agricultural communities, in order to promote the development of agriculture, which is the basic industry of the State, the improvement of the welfare of farmers, and the efficient utilization of resources of agricultural communities. The text consists of 37 articles.
The Administrator of the Rural Development Administration shall formulate and execute five-year master plans for projects for promoting agricultural community development (art.5). The Deliberative Committee on Projects for Promoting Agricultural Community Development shall be established under the Rural Development Administration(art.6). The Korea Agriculture Technology Promotion Agency shall be established for an industry-wide promotion of the achievements of research and development in the field of agricultural science and technology (art.33).
