Abstract
This Decree implements provisions of the Natural Environment Conservation Act.
It provides among other things for: the designation of ecosystem conservation areas and of special ecosystem protection areas; matters to be included in the Basic Natural Environment Conservation Plan and in the Ecosystem Conservation Area Basic Management Plan; recommendations on land utilization methods; acts prohibited in protected areas; the establishment of the Biological Diversity Council; criteria for restricting deforestation of trees; imposition and collection of dues for the cooperation fund for the conservation of the ecosystem; etc.
