Abstract
The purpose of this Decree is to prescribe matters necessary for the enforcement of the Noise and Vibration Control Act.
Any person who desires to install emission facilities shall report it to, and obtain permission from, the Mayor/Do governor as provided for in article 2. The permissible manufactured car noise standard shall be determined by an Ordinance of the Ministry of Environment (art. 6). The Minister of Environment may exempt or omit the authentication for motor vehicles to be used for public purposes such as for military and fire-fighting use or for research and exhibition purposes, etc. or motor vehicles which are brought into from a foreign country (art. 6-2). The Minister of Environment shall conduct checkups and inspections on noises of manufactured cars (art. 7). Permissible standards of running cars and limits of air craft noise shall be determined by the Ordinance of Ministry of Environment (art. 10). The remaining articles deal with delegation of authority, entrustment of affairs, fines, etc.
