Abstract
The purpose of this Decree is to prescribe matters delegated by the Ship Safety Act and matters necessary for the enforcement thereof. The text – consisting of 22 articles – provides, among other things, for the following: scope of application of the Act to foreign ships; exclusion from application following conclusion of agreements; term of validity of ship inspection certificate and inspection certificate under international agreement; extension of term of validity of ship inspection certificate and inspection certificate under international agreement; criteria, procedures for designation of designated test agency; agency for inspection affairs; cancellation of agency affairs; cancellation of agency for measurement of thickness; execution of port state control; measures concerning port state control; publication; measures following special inspections; delegation of authority.
