Abstract
The purpose of these Rules is to define the matters entrusted by the Water Environment Conservation Act and the Enforcement Decree of the same Act.
"Waterways prescribed by Ordinance of the Ministry of Environment” in subparagraph 9 of Article 2 of the Act means the following waterways: 1. Groundwater; 2. Agricultural waterways; 3. Sewage culvert under subparagraph 6 of Article 2 of the Sewerage Act; 4. Canals.
The Minister of Environment shall investigate the vulnerability of wastewater discharge facilities, nonpoint pollution reduction facilities, public wastewater treatment facilities to climate change every 10 years. The Order further makes provisions for: restrictions imposed in fishing-restricted zones, standards for classification of sphere of influence of river basin, methods for examination of continuity of aquatic ecosystems, measures necessary for the continuity of aquatic ecosystems, matters included in plans to manage water environment of large spheres of influence, etc.
