Abstract
The purpose of this Act is to prevent dangers for miners and rationally exploit underground resources by preventing mine damages.
Duties of mining concession holders or any mining lease holders and obligations of miners are listed in articles 5 and 6. In order to undertake the work of installing mining facilities or the work of altering the installed mining facilities an approval of the work plan shall be obtained from the Minister of Knowledge Economy and once the work plan is completed it shall go through performance tests (Chapter II). Any mining concession holder or any mineral right holder shall appoint a mine safety manager. The Minister of Knowledge Economy shall take charge of supervising the mine safety and shall have mine safety officers assigned to assist them in the supervision affairs of mine safety (Chapter III). Chapter IV and V contain supplementary and penal provisions.
