Abstract
The purpose of this Act is to promote the sustainable growth of the wheat industry and the stable supply of food by prescribing matters necessary to foster the wheat industry, thereby contributing to increasing the income of farms, improving the quality of life of the people, and developing the national economy.
The Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs is responsible for creating and implementing a basic plan for wheat industry development every five years (Article 5). The Minister has the authority to promote research, technology development, and the use of processed wheat products to facilitate industry growth (Article 7). Additionally, the Minister can designate specific areas for expanding production, establishing infrastructure, and other necessary activities, creating designated wheat production and distribution complexes to foster and support the wheat industry (Article 12).
