Administrative Resolution No. 1/2015 regarding the issuance of the settlement Regulations for Environmental Violations.

These Regulations, issued by the Environment Public Authority and consisting of 7 articles, allow the Director General, in non-deliberate and non-severe violations (excluding repeat offenses or multiple violations), to approve settlements. A settlement can be requested by the concerned party, and a specialized Committee sets its conditions, deadlines, fines, and compensations. The request is only accepted after the offender removes all environmental damage, rehabilitates the site, and pays the required fines and compensation within the given timeframe. Technical departments verify compliance and submit a report. Once all conditions are met, a settlement agreement is signed, including a commitment to avoid future violations.
