Import Law No.43 of 1964.

This Law consisting of 12 article aims at providing rules for import of merchandise, materials and equipment from abroad. Article 1 establishes national conditions for practicing import. As for Article 2, the Minister of Commerce grants a one-year import license for importers registered in the Commercial Register and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait. Articles 3 and 4 list cases for which an exception is made (i.e. fresh fruits and vegetables, cattle, sheep and other living animals). Article 6 and following deal with procedures of clearing or re-export of goods at the Custom.
