Ministerial Resolution No. 256 of 2000 regarding the rationing of the importation of the materials depleting the Ozone layer and prohibition of the importation of the products, devices and equipments which contain the said materials.

This Resolution consisting of 6 articles aims at restricting the use of substances that deplete the ozone layer. These materials shall be rationed. It also prohibits the importation of the products, equipment and devices which contain and operate by the materials depleting the Ozone layer, such as, among others, air conditioning units for cars and trucks, cooling equipment for domestic and commercial use, transportation vehicles equipped with refrigerators, aerosol products except medical aerosols, movable firefighting extinguishers, etc. The importers of the mentioned products shall attach a certificate issued by a competent Authority which proves that the imported products are free of the material depleting the Ozone layer.
