Abstract
This Resolution, comprising 7 articles, allows authorized Kuwaiti vessels to fish for shrimp in the Exclusive Economic Zone from August 1 to the end of December, contingent upon obtaining a permit from the Authority. In territorial waters, the shrimp fishing season runs from September 1 to the end of December for those with trawling licenses that meet environmentally friendly standards. During these periods, shrimp landing, marketing, and trading are permitted. Outside of these times, shrimp fishing is prohibited, but fresh or chilled shrimp can be imported through air and seaports, while only farmed shrimp may be imported through land borders, provided a permit is obtained from the Authority. The Authority, in coordination with the General Administration of the Coast Guard, will oversee compliance with these provisions.
