Abstract
This Resolution consisting of 5 articles, aims to determine technical conditions and specifications to be met by holders of fish farming vouchers (food security projects) in establishing and managing fish farms, namely (i) the site, in terms of the space allocated for fish ponds and fish farming facilities compared to the total area, inclination of the land in the site, installation of desalination units, etc.; (ii) structural specifications for the basins; (iii) management and nutrition, such the use of fish feed approved by the concerned department of the authority, not using waste of chickens and livestock as well as organic and mineral fertilizers, obligation to extract dead fish from the ponds daily and dispose of them away from the farm site in specific places in a healthy manner, the use of veterinary medicinal drugs only if dispensed with a medical prescription issued by a veterinarian specifying the type, dose and duration of administration of the drug, rules for transporting live fish between licensed farms, keeping of records of the fish farm that include the numbers and types of fish farmed, mortality rates, the amount of daily feed, etc.; (iv) inspenctions and monitoring by the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources.
