Abstract
The Contracting Parties seek to facilitate trade in animals, products of animal origin, veterinary medicines and feed in order to eliminate restrictions on mutual trade and maintain the necessary level of protection of human life and health and at the same time prevent the spread of infectious diseases of animals and products of animal origin which are harmful to public health, as well as to develop cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine and the safety of animal products. The Parties agreed on taking precautionary measures against contagious animal diseases and inform each other about the requirements for the import and transit of goods. The Parties may exchange data related to emerging risks to public and animal health in order to prevent the spread of human and animal diseases. This Agreement does not affect the rights and obligations of the Parties arising from other international treaties to which their States are parties. The dispute may be solved through negotiation and consultation between the Parties. The Parties may make amendments to this Agreement through seperate protocols. This Agreement shall be valid for five years and may be extended for successive period of five years unless terminated by written notice requiring six months through diplomatic channels.
