Abstract
The Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Water Management of the People’s Republic of China, noting the importance of mutual exchange of hydrological and hydrochemical information for joint use and protection of transboundary rivers, expressing readiness to strengthen already existing friendly relations and traditional cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China, agreed on the following a mutually equal exchange of hydrological and hydrochemical information of the main transboundary rivers. The Parties have agreed that the Kazakh-Chinese Joint Commission on the Use and Protection of Transboundary Rivers authorizes working groups of experts to draw up the relevant specific Procedure for the exchange of information on the main trans-border rivers, which is carried out by the executive bodies after the approval of the Joint Commission. The procedure includes lists of transboundary rivers, gauging stations, observation points, technical details of information exchange, methods, time of data of exchange and other issues.
