Abstract
The Parties have agreed to cooperate to: (a) protect against air and soil pollution; (b) study, manage, conserve and protect water ecosystems; (c) regulate national park recreation; (d) protect the environment against radioactive pollution; (e) conserve biological diversity and rare and endangered species; (f) protect and manage forest resources; (g) improve urban environments; and (h) provide ecological education. Cooperation shall entail: (a) undertaking joint measures to protect and improve the environment; and (b) exchange of scientific and technical documentation, and of legislative acts on environmental protection.

This Agreement shall be valid for five years and shall be automatically extended for one or more five-year periods unless, six months prior to the end of any such period, either Party provides the other with written notice of termination.
