Government Resolution No. 272 validating the Regulation establishing the minimum wholesale price for socially significant foodstuffs produced, imported and (or) sold in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Regulation establishes the minimum wholesale price for socially significant foodstuffs produced, imported and (or) sold in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The authorized body in the field of regulation of trade activities, in order to ensure food security and protect the domestic market, establishes the minimum wholesale prices for a period of up to ninety calendar days within one year for a certain socially significant food product throughout the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the same time, the decision of the authorized body in the field of regulation of trade activities on the approval of the minimum wholesale prices may provide for an exception for socially significant food product imported into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purpose of industrial processing, intended exclusively for use in production, including those imported under the “free warehouse” procedure. Socially significant foodstuffs shall be intended food products which meet the physiological needs of a person, the list of which is approved by the authorized body in the field of regulation of trade activities. The minimum wholesale prices are established taking into account the results of a comparative analysis of prices, which is carried out by the authorized body, including in the case of submittal of application, and at the proposal of government bodies concerned.
